ABOUT

I moved to San Diego to study design in 2003. I am originally from Japan's ancient capital, Kyoto. My designs offer a unique mixture of traditional Eastern perspective and diversity, along with an awareness of the latest trends and concepts. I try to keep up to date with the art, culture and technology of the times. If I am not familiar with a style, I look forward to studying and learning about it!

Although art is my passion, I am also conscious about the effect graphic design can have on society. Often times it is an extremely commercialized and disposable medium. As a mother, I feel a responsibility to model a sustainable lifestyle for my children, and always look to explore my creativity in such a way that is good for the client, while also being good for the world.
