Poster and Book design

The poster and the experimental narrative consist of three related topics regarding the danger of chemicals used in everyday products. The main narrative is the TED talk “The Toxic Baby”by Tyrone Hayes and Penelope Jagessar Chaffer. The secondary narrative supporting their speech is the article, “Public Health Advocates vs. the Chemical Industry,” from the website Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families. The third article is “Report finds toxic BPA common in food cans” by Tony Iallonardo. I view these topics with as something that must immediately be changed. I chose bold, graphic images and sharp-pointed typefaces to invoke awareness with a sense of urgency for the reader.

Book

I considered aluminum and Plexiglas for the cover of the book, to make it looks as if it were made from a tin can or from a container of household products. My final choice was aluminum and it made for a great finish on the book.
